PMU + MICROBLADING
Microblading and Permanent Makeup (PMU) is not suitable for the following medical conditions and/or medication usage:
ACCUTANE / RETIN A
If taken within the last 6 months. Retinol and Vitamin A users should discontinue usage one month prior to procedure.
Eyelash and eyebrow growth serum brings extra circulation (aka blood flow) to the area resulting in the growth of more hair/lashes.
*Discontinue usage at least 3-6 months prior to PMU procedure.
PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING
PMU is not recommended as your body is experiencing many metabolic changes. Blood-borne pathogens can also be transferred to the baby in the unlikely event of exposure.
HEMOPHILIA / HEART CONDITIONS / BLOOD THINNERS / HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
You may be more prone to bleeding which results in poor color retention.
Clients that are insulin dependent run the risk of slow healing, resulting in a heightened risk of infection.
Allergy to lidocaine or numbing agents
Viral Infections and/or Diseases
Blood borne conditions such as HIV/Hepatitis
Sunburn or any inflammation of the skin
Keloid / Hypertrophic scarring - although unlikely, if you scar very easily, PMU is not recommended
Chemotherapy - consult with your physician, ensure blood counts have returned to normal
Cosmetic/Surgical Procedures - Wait 3 - 6 months before having any PMU done
Botox/Fillers - wait at least 4 weeks
Facial Lasers - wait at least 2 weeks
*If you are unsure whether you should have PMU or microblading due to medical conditions/issues - ALWAYS consult with your physician first!
