PMU + MICROBLADING

CONTRAINDICATIONS

​

Microblading and Permanent Makeup (PMU) is not suitable for the following medical conditions and/or medication usage:

​

ACCUTANE / RETIN A

​

If taken within the last 6 months. Retinol and Vitamin A users should discontinue usage one month prior to procedure.

 

LATISSE

​

Eyelash and eyebrow growth serum brings extra circulation (aka blood flow) to the area resulting in the growth of more hair/lashes. 

​

*Discontinue usage at least 3-6 months prior to PMU procedure.

​

PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING

​

PMU is not recommended as your body is experiencing many metabolic changes. Blood-borne pathogens can also be transferred to the baby in the unlikely event of exposure.

​

HEMOPHILIA / HEART CONDITIONS / BLOOD THINNERS / HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE​

​

You may be more prone to bleeding which results in poor color retention. 

​

DIABETIC

​

Clients that are insulin dependent run the risk of slow healing, resulting in a heightened risk of infection.

​

OTHER

​

  • Allergy to lidocaine or numbing agents

  • Viral Infections and/or Diseases

  • Epilepsy

  • Blood borne conditions such as HIV/Hepatitis

  • Skin Cancer

  • Sunburn or any inflammation of the skin

  • Keloid / Hypertrophic scarring - although unlikely, if you scar very easily, PMU is not recommended

  • Chemotherapy - consult with your physician, ensure blood counts have returned to normal

  • Cosmetic/Surgical Procedures - Wait 3 - 6 months before having any PMU done

  • Botox/Fillers - wait at least 4 weeks

  • Facial Lasers - wait at least 2 weeks
